Product Description:

The functional version of the CSHNA is SLB1.

 

Application:

The CSHNA is the hybrid system control, switching, and timing board for the new-generation OptiX RTN 980. It provides STM-1, STM-4, and GE ports to convergence and schedule various types of services.

NOTE:

E1 services shown in the preceding figure can be native E1 services or CES/ATM E1 services, and Ethernet services can be native Ethernet services or ETH PWE3 services.

Service boards shown in the preceding figure can be Ethernet interface boards, STM-1 interface boards, E1 interface boards, or Smart E1 processing boards.

 

Functions and Features:

The CSHNA provides 43 Gbit/s packet switching, full time-division cross-connection, system control and communication, and clock processing functions. It provides GE/FE ports, STM-1/4 ports, auxiliary ports, and management ports.

System control and communication Manages, monitors, and controls the running status of the IDU, and works as a communication service unit between the NMS and boards, thereby allowing the NMS to control and manage the NE.
Clock Clock source

Provides the system clock and frame headers of service signals and overhead signals for the other boards by tracing any of the following clock sources:

PDH tributary clock

Microwave link clock

Synchronous Ethernet clock

Clock protection

Supports the following clock protection schemes:

Protection based on clock source priorities

Protection by running the SSM protocol

Supports ITU-T G.8275.1 time synchronization.

Supports use of the AE 905S module as the clock source for time synchronization.
