Baseband Unit (BBU) is responsible for processing the baseband signals. ZTE provides three types of BBUs:
ZXSDR B8200/B8300 can be used in the integrated indoor/outdoor base station, or connected to RRUs/AAUs in the distributed base station. Based on ZTE unique SDR platform, it supports GSM/UMTS/FDD-LTE/TDD-LTE (GUFT+N) multi-mode configuration and smooth evolution. It enables operators to deploy one unified radio access network rather than independent GSM, UMTS or LTE networks, which brings simplicity and convenience with low CAPEX and OPEX.

It can be used for both indoor and outdoor application scenarios with natural heat dissipation and IP65 protection. The unit can be mounted on the wall or on the pole, no need of extra cabinets. And it can be flexibly installed near the RRU to save the optical fiber resources.
