The TNF2LQM board can be created as TNF1LQM on the NMS and function as a TNF1LQM board. After the substitution, the TNF2LQM board provides only part of TNF1LQM functions.

The TNF2LQM board does not support GE (GFP-F) services on the client side. When it substitutes for a TNF1LQM board provisioned with GE (GFP-F) services, change the service type to GE (GFP-T) after the substitution.

TNF2LQM boards do not guarantee bandwidths for client-side GE services even when they work as substitutes for TNF1LQM boards.

When carrying FE services, TNF2LQM and TNF1LQM boards cannot interoperate with each other even when TNF2LQM boards work as substitutes for TNF1LQM boards because they apply different encapsulation modes. If two TNF1LQM boards interconnect with each other, do not use a TNF2LQM board to substitute for either of them.

NOTE:

If the NE software version is V100R003C01 or later, the NE software does not need to be upgraded during the substitution. If the NE software version is earlier than V100R003C01, the NE software needs to be upgraded to V100R003C01 or a later version.

NOTE:

After board substitution, if the substitution board is inserted to another slot or NE:

If no logical board is configured in the target slot, the substitution board logically functions as itself after going online.

If a logical board has been configured in the target slot, the substitution board logically functions as the existing logical board.

If delete the the logical board in the target slot, the substitution board logically functions as itself.

 

Application:

The LQM can be used in two different application scenarios: convergence of Any service signals and regeneration of OTU1 optical signals.

Application Scenario 1: Implements the Convergence of Any Services

The LQM board is mainly used to converge a maximum of four channels of Any (at a rate of 125 Mbit/s to 2.5 Gbit/s) signals to one channel of OTU1 signals and convert the converged OTU1 signals into signals borne on a standard DWDM wavelength compliant with ITU-T G.694.1 or signals borne on a standard CWDM wavelength compliant with ITU-T G. 694.2. At the same time, the board completes the reverse process. See Figure 1.

NOTE:

The TNF1LQM board can converge four Any services.

When used in 1 x AP4 ODU1 mode, the TNF2LQM board can converge four Any services. When used in 1 x AP2 ODU0 mode, the TNF2LQM board can converge two Any services. In the 1 x AP2 ODU0 mode, only ports TX1/RX1 and TX2/RX2 are available.

Application Scenario 2: Implements the Regeneration of OTU1 Optical Signals

The TNF1LQM board can regenerate one OTU1 service. Figure 2 shows the application of the TNF1LQM board as a regeneration board.

When used in 1 x AP2 regeneration mode, the TNF2LQM board can regenerate two OTU1 services. When regenerating one OTU1 service, it supports dual feeding and selective receiving on the WDM side. Figure 3 and Figure 4 show the application of the TNF2LQM board as a regeneration board.

 

Functions and Features:

The main functions and features supported by the LQM are wavelength conversion, service convergence, ALS, and regeneration of OTU1 optical signals.
